im almost positive thats not a minnow it almost looks like a really light colored bass hard to tell from the picture

I've been fishing for 60 years and I don't recall ever seeing a 1 pound minnow. if that's what it is I suggest contacting Games and Parks. very hard to tell anything from the picture.

I was at my creek thinking i was catching minnows but i looked at the pics and i noticed they have different desgins and colors is one of these fish a bass? and confirm which one is a minnow and the other fish.thanks!

I was fishing on a dam for striped bass with a huge crankbait. I was pulling in tons of line to cast again when a fish smashed my lure. I got him to shore quickly and found out it was a channel catfish!

Yes it's a rare occurrence to catch Carp, Catfish, or Sucker on fishing lures. As you probably already know those fish rely on smell, and not much on sight.

Catfish feed on Shad & other bait-fish so just like a Bass or Walleye they thought it was a bait-fish and smashed it!

Oh, and how huge was the fish?

thats funny about a year ago i was jigging for stripers and i was letting the jig hit the bottom and jiggin it back up and i caught a catfish and later i hooked a striper in the tail while jigging in the school

i was trolling for muskie with 9in lure, trolling at like 4mph and caught 2 channel cats 4lber, 8lber. really not that rare, just unexpected. seen my buddie catch a bull head that was like 7in on a 9in lure, that was just crazy

thats not rare, I,ve caught several catfish while using a bass lure. I,ve used live bluegill the size of your hand on jugs and caught flatheads over 25 pounds also.

A catfish will eat just about anything. Ive caught many 'o' catfish with a bass bait. not to uncommon while it doesn't happen everyday
